Practice scenarios
Each is an original scenario in the shape of the GNC1 sample paper for the NEBOSH General Certificate (not affiliated): a workplace, a developing situation, then five tasks worth 50 marks. Between them the three cover every element of the GNC1 syllabus, so working through all three practises everything the exam can ask. Answer as many tasks as you like; each one you answer is marked. Each scenario is free once per email address while in beta.
Practice scenario 150 marks The night shift at a food depot
A chilled and frozen food distribution depot, its night shift and a refrigeration contractor.
Covers moral, financial and legal reasons, contractors, health and safety policy, human factors and incident investigation.

Practice scenario 250 marks A chlorine release at a leisure centre
A leisure centre run by a charitable trust, its pool plant room, a new chemical supplier and a new rota.
Covers legal duties, management systems, managing change, safe systems of work, permits to work and incident investigation.

Practice scenario 350 marks Building work at a garden centre
A family-owned garden centre with a café, seasonal staff and a building project on site.
Covers moral, financial and legal reasons, contractors, safety culture, improving culture, emergencies and first aid, audits and performance review.
